Paul Feeney

Senator Paul Feeney was elected to the Senate in 2017 to represent the Bristol & Norfolk district. A telephone technician by trade, Senator Feeney was the legislative director for his union and a vocal advocate on Beacon Hill for legislation that saved local jobs, increased workplace safety and protected consumer rights. He is the Chair of the Joint Committee on Bonding, Capital Expenditures and State Assets and Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure.

Senator Feeney formerly served as the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen in Foxborough. He served as the State Director in both Massachusetts and Connecticut for US Senator Bernie Sanders’ campaign for the Presidency in 2016 and was selected to speak at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia that Summer.

After 20 years as a blue-collar worker, and a stint as a local official; Senator Feeney understands first-hand, the need to fight for working people and a strong middle-class in communities throughout his district and the Commonwealth.

Paul is married to his high-school-sweetheart, Laura (Caparell) Feeney, who owns and operates a licensed family child care business in the couple’s home in Foxborough.
