Ending the Affordable Housing Crisis

Issues of housing affordability and homelessness continue to be major concerns all across the state. We’ve heard from residents pushed out of their communities by high rents and home prices that seem affordable only to a privileged few. We’ve heard from young people who were forced to choose between paying their rent or buying groceries.

In Massachusetts we take care of each other and we must do more to bring an end to this troubling trend.

Pushing policies that enable people to live and work in the same community isn’t just about building a better quality of life for any one individual worker. It means fewer people on our highways each morning, thus mitigating some of our existing transportation issues and encouraging talented workers to remain in the state.
