Senator Jake Oliveira was elected to the Senate in 2022, where he will represent the Hampden, Hampshire, and Worcester districts. 

Two years prior to the 2022 State election, Senator Oliveira represented the 7th Hampden district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He spent over a decade working in government relations for nine Massachusetts State Universities and was the Budget Director for State Representative Michael Rodrigues. During this time, he was a member of the Ludlow School committee and was elected the youngest President of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees. 

While at Framingham State University, he was a member of the university’s Board of Trustees for 3 years and was awarded Business West’s 40 Under 40 distinction in 2019.
