Anne Gobi

Senator Anne Gobi was elected in 2014 to represent the Worcester, Hampden, Hampshire and Middlesex district. She has served as the Chair of the Joint Committee on Higher Education, Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Redistricting, and Vice Chair of the Special Joint Committee on Redistricting. Senator Gobi has been a vocal advocate for veterans as the Chair of the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs. Gobi’s legislative priorities include promoting small businesses, combating the opioid epidemic, promoting clean and affordable energy sources, and making smart capital investments for the continued prosperity of the Commonwealth. Prior to being elected to the Senate, Gobi was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives for 12 years. She received her bachelor’s degree from Worcester State College and her law degree from Massachusetts School of Law. Gobi resides in Spencer with her husband, Bob, and dog, Quinn.
