- Norfolk and Plymouth
Senator John F. Keenan was elected to the State Senate in 2010 to represent the Norfolk and Plymouth district, which includes Quincy, Abington, Braintree, Holbrook and Rockland. He currently serves as Chair for the Joint Committee on Housing and Vice Chair for the Joint Committee on Transportation.
Prior to serving in the State Senate, he served as the Executive Director of the Norfolk County Retirement System and on the Quincy City Council. Senator Keenan graduated with honors from Harvard University, received his law degree from Suffolk University Law School, and graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government with a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He lives in Quincy with his wife, Jeanne Hopkins, and their three children.
