Michael Brady

Senator Michael Brady was elected to the Senate in 2015 to represent his home city of Brockton, the towns of Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Plympton and Whitman as well as certain precincts in East Bridgewater and Easton. He serves as Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Public Service and Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies. Senator Brady’s priorities include funding and protecting public education, addressing climate change and global warming, opioid abuse, economic development/gateway cities and mortgage foreclosure. He served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015, has been a Democratic State Committeeman since 2005, the Brockton City Council from 1997 to 2009 and Brockton School Committee from 1996 to 1997. He is a graduate of Brockton Public Schools, Massasoit Community College and Metropolitan Life Insurance School. His personal interests are supporting the elderly, youth and veterans groups, sports and music.
