Senator Mike Rush was elected to the Senate in 2010 and represents the Norfolk and Suffolk District which includes Boston’s neighborhoods of Forest Hills, Hyde Park, Readville, Roslindale, and West Roxbury, and the Towns of Dedham, Dover, Needham, Norwood, and Westwood. He is the Senate Majority Whip, Chairperson of the Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs and Vice Chair for the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs and founder and Chair of the Legislative Parks Caucus. Senator Rush is a US Navy Officer and Iraq War Veteran and has served in the Navy for over twenty years. Senator Rush is a lifelong resident of West Roxbury where he lives with his wife Mary and their two children.
