Nick Collins

Senator Nick Collins was elected to the Senate in 2018 to represent several neighborhoods of Boston, including his native and home neighborhood of South Boston. He is Chair of the Joint Committee on Export Development and Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Bonding, Capital Expenditures and State Assets and the Joint Committee on Cannabis Policy. His priorities include public health and safety, social and economic justice, reliable transportation, affordable housing, quality education and environmental preservation and sustainability. He was previously a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Earlier in his career, Senator Collins served as a legislative aide in the district he now represents and was a regional field director for President Obama’s campaign in 2008. Senator Collins earned a B.A. from Babson College, is married and has one daughter.
